Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead building mechanical systems design (HVAC) through all project phases—from concept through owner acceptance. You will collaborate with architects and other engineers, mentor staff, and help manage schedules and budgets.

Ideal candidates have a PE license, 10+ years of hands-on HVAC design, and proficiency in REVIT MEP, AutoCAD, and BIM standards. Knowledge of LEED and building codes is a plus.

Qualifications

• Capable in all areas of Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on buildings and site systems.
• Experience producing MEP design and construction documents in an A/E consulting firm.
• PE license required to practice as a mechanical engineer.
• 10+ years of hands-on design experience in HVAC systems and mechanical utilities.
• Proficiency in REVIT MEP.
• Experience coordinating with architects, structural, civil and electrical teams.
• Experience mentoring and supervising mechanical engineers and designers.
• Broad knowledge of building mechanical engineering including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and utilities.
• Experience designing building HVAC to LEED criteria.
• Experience using HVAC analysis software (Carrier HAP or Trace 700 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Help our clients achieve their goals.
• Work with Director, Mechanical Engineers and Project Managers to meet goals and objectives.
• Prepare Mechanical design and construction documents in REVIT M&P.
• Coordinate with project managers regarding schedule and construction costs.
• Provide technical, project management and client management support to projects.
• Mentor and supervise mechanical staff and other technical personnel.
• Attend project team meetings and maintain technical expertise.
