Job summary

PTS Advance in Houston seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC design for diverse commercial projects. You will develop system layouts, perform calculations, and produce construction documents while collaborating with architects, clients, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in MEP consulting, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD with HAP/Trane TRACE familiarity. PE/EIT is a plus, with growth and ownership from concept to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years HVAC design experience within an MEP consulting environment.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; experience with HAP/Trane TRACE.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial building projects.
• Perform HVAC calculations, equipment selections, and system layouts.
• Prepare construction documents, specifications, and design packages.
• Collaborate with architects, clients, contractors, and internal engineering teams.
• Coordinate HVAC designs with other MEP disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout the design process.
• Assist with project reviews, quality control, and mentoring junior team members.
