Job summary

Harris is seeking a Project Manager II - Mechanical Construction to oversee HVAC construction activities, coordinate field teams, and ensure project standards, schedule, and budget are met. This position requires strong leadership and document control skills.

You will manage RFIs, submittals, safety compliance, procurement, and progress reporting while coordinating with contractors and owners. A technical degree and several years of construction experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical field is required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in the building/construction industry is expected.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction documents.
• Working knowledge of project management and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support during all phases of HVAC construction.
• Review, organize, and distribute contract documents and shop drawings.
• Draft and manage RFIs, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
• Attend field coordination meetings and document outcomes.
• Oversee project closeout, including O&M manuals and startup reports.
• Develop and manage weekly/bi-weekly work plans to support schedule.
