Job summary

Carrier is seeking a Commercial HVAC Journeyman Service Technician for Sullivan, Indiana, to deliver expert field service, install and repair HVAC systems, and maintain customer satisfaction on-site at customer locations. You will work with cutting-edge tools, provide safe, compliant service, and participate in ongoing training to stay ahead in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years practical working experience in the HVAC Industry
• 3+ years experience with centrifugal chillers
• Ability to Push / Pull / Lift 50lbs
• EPA Universal Certification
• Must be able to stand, crawl, sit, squat for extended period of time, climb a ladder, and the ability to work on rooftop
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain air-conditioning and HVAC systems to ensure efficient operation
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in heating and cooling units
• Install, replace, and calibrate HVAC equipment, including thermostatic controls and liquid lines
• Service refrigeration equipment including refrigerators, ice machines, gas packs, and heat pumps
• Maintain chilled and hot water supply systems and adjust internal control systems
• Assemble and install metal ductwork and assist in HVAC system planning and design
• Ensure compliance with City, State, and EPA regulations by maintaining detailed maintenance records
• Identify and mitigate risks to maintain a safe working environment
• Collaborate with management to support safety and operational standards
