Job summary

Karber Corporation (K CORP) is hiring an Applied HVAC/Chiller Service Technician in Phoenix, AZ. The role requires diagnosing complex HVAC systems, performing maintenance, and delivering quality service to data centers, healthcare, and commercial facilities.

With a strong emphasis on safety and customer relations, you will troubleshoot, install, and service equipment across multiple systems while maintaining profitability and on-time responses. Competitive hourly wage applies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant HVAC Service Tech experience.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two-year technical degree in related field is preferred.
• Must possess required registrations, professional licenses and/or certifications as required by the position.
• Universal EPA Certified.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as required by trade/position and type/size of equipment.
• Proficient in the electrical diagnostics of HVAC equipment.
• Operates hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
• Disassembles and reassembles HVAC equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Completes service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls while maintaining profitability.
• Develops long-term relationships with customers and explains work performed to the customer's satisfaction.
• Participates in technician on-call-stand-by rotation as dictated by department policies.
• Safely drives a motor vehicle and trailer and adheres to safety requirements.

Mini-split up to 3 ton

Rooftop units up to 50 tons

Water source heat pumps up to 15 tons

CRAC units and Liebert/Data Aire

HVAC airside: VAV/Fan Powered Box

AHU/air handler operation

HVAC electrical diagnostics

Education

High School Diploma or GED
