Qualifications

• B.S. Electrical Engineering with emphasis on Power Systems.
• 7+ years of substation design experience.
• 2+ years of HV project engineering experience.
• Reads and interprets HV schematics and protection schemes.
• Basic knowledge of power system modeling and renewables integration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee EPC contractor engineering design and construction for HV substations and lines (35kV–500kV).
• Establish and maintain relationships with HV contractors and interconnection providers.
• Review designs for interconnection compliance and reliability standards.
• Analyze power system studies (load flow, short circuit, harmonics, insulation coordination).
• Coordinate testing during commissioning with utilities/ISO and project teams.
• Lead technical discussions with EPCs, utilities, and internal stakeholders.
• Travel and fieldwork ~25%; projects mainly in Eastern/Central US.
