Job summary

Wade Trim is seeking an Electrical Substation Engineer to join the ICE Team to advance infrastructure across our Michigan offices. A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 10+ years in high-voltage substation design are required; PE license preferred.

Travel, hybrid/remote work, and strong written communication are expected. The role involves leading design for distribution, sub-transmission, and transmission levels with exposure to Bentley ProjectWise, SAP/Maximo, and Bluebeam Revu,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 10+ years of experience with high-voltage substation design.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards (NESC) and construction techniques.
• Exposure to Bentley ProjectWise, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, SAP/Maximo preferred.
• Professional Engineering License preferred; travel willing.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead engineer on multi-disciplinary substation design projects and manage budget and schedule.
• Coordinate electrical design with civil/structural teams to ensure consistency and quality.
• Attend and conduct client and project meetings.
• Create detailed project proposals including scoping, design concepts, and cost estimates.
• Provide support for marketing, project reports, and technical presentations.
• Support business development activities and project pursuits.
