Job summary

Wade Trim in the United States is seeking an Electrical Substation Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure. The role demands a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of HV substation design experience, including protection and control. Must be willing to travel; hybrid or remote work is available.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in high voltage substation design.
• Strong knowledge of utility standards (NESC) and construction techniques.
• Exposure to Bentley Projectwise, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, and SAP/Maximo preferred.
• Professional Engineering License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead engineer on multi-disciplinary substation design projects, delegate tasks to engineers and technicians, and keep projects on schedule and under budget.
• Coordinate electrical design with civil/structural teams to ensure high-quality, consistent designs and schedule adherence.
• Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings.
• Prepare detailed project proposals including scoping and cost estimates.
• Provide support to business development and pursuit activities.
