Job summary

R.R. Cassidy is seeking a Substation Superintendent to lead construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical substations in field settings. The role combines technical electrical knowledge with people and project management to ensure projects are on schedule and compliant with codes.

You will oversee crews, read drawings, coordinate with engineers and clients, and ensure safety and quality while traveling to remote job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in high-voltage substation construction/maintenance.
• Experience as foreman or lead is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise foremen, journeyman/apprentice electricians, and crew members on substation projects.
• Manage daily tasks, crew schedules, and multiple crews across sites.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate field personnel; enforce standards.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of substation equipment.
