Job summary

Bosch is seeking a skilled HV BMS Systems Engineer in Michigan. You will own the complete HV BMS architecture, translating customer needs into hardware, software, safety, and validation requirements. You’ll steer system-level decisions, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure traceability from concept to field deployment.

The role emphasizes deep HV BMS domain knowledge, embedded C, AUTOSAR, and safety standards, with opportunities to lead cross-functional initiatives in a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; Master’s preferred.
• 10+ years in embedded control systems with HV BMS exposure.
• Deployment of HV BMS in automotive, commercial or energy storage.
• Expertise in HV BMS architecture, SOC/SOH, cell balancing, safety concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own and steer HV BMS architecture across controllers and software.
• Derive system/hardware/software requirements with traceability.
• Define embedded control architecture for BMS software (AUTOSAR).
• Lead SoX, cell balancing, monitoring, contactor control, thermal management.
• Drive ISO 26262 and cybersecurity integration; support safety analysis.
• Provide technical leadership to hardware, software and validation teams.
• Lead debugging and root cause analysis across system domains.
• Interface with customers; lead design reviews and workshops.
