Job summary

UNICEF’s Evaluation Office seeks a Senior Humanitarian Learning Expert to evaluate risk-taking, risk-sharing and risk management in humanitarian action. The assignment is remote with home-based work and travel to field countries as needed for data collection.

The 10-month contract invites an expert with extensive experience in organizational learning and humanitarian evaluation to trace decision-making processes and translate evidence into practical tools for staff across emergencies.

Qualifications

• Education: Masters in International Development, Management, Anthropology, Social Sciences.
• Years of Experience: 15+ years in organizational learning, adaptive management or developmental evaluation in humanitarian settings.
• Experience in humanitarian evaluations, including UNICEF L3 evaluations.
• Ability to facilitate workshops with senior managers and translate evidence into tools or frameworks.
• Experience designing participatory visualization of evaluation key messages.

Responsibilities

• Experience designing and conducting interviews with local and national NGOs and affected populations with safe and ethical protocols.
