Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated seeks a Senior Research Associate for the Tissue Dissection Group within the Molecular & Cell Biology group. The role focuses on generating high-quality cells and tissue samples from primary human organs, with emphasis on DRG, lungs, kidneys and precision-cut tissue slices.

You will develop and optimize dissection workflows and ensure prompt processing of donated tissues.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree (or equivalent) in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related disciplines with 1+ years of relevant experience, OR
• ,

Responsibilities

• Perform dissection of human tissues, including DRG, lungs, kidneys and tissue slices.
• Develop and optimize dissection workflows and methods to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Process donated tissues promptly, including outside normal working hours and on weekends, as required.
• Maintain accurate donor information and register tissue/cell samples in ELN.
• Collaborate within a fast-paced research environment across programs.
