Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Member of the Technical Staff to lead architecture studies of human spaceflight system concepts and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams across engineering disciplines.

You will work with NASA and program offices to elicit needs, plan studies, and communicate results in briefings and formal reports, while maintaining a TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship requirements. Travel is expected 5–10% domestically.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in engineering, science, or a related technical field; 3–5 years of industry experience
  • M.S. in engineering, science, or a related technical field; 2 years of industry experience
  • Experience in system or enterprise architecting, systems engineering, concept design, and/or model‑based systems engineering
  • Demonstrated interest in human spaceflight systems, missions, and architectures
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally ~5–10%
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in architecture studies of human spaceflight system concepts with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engage with NASA, Aerospace program Office, and contractor personnel to elicit needs and communicate results
  • Collaborate across domains to enable concurrent engineering and provide guidance for acquisition and operations decisions
