Job summary

The State of Florida's Department of Children and Families is seeking a Human Services Worker III to provide residential care, assist with enrichment activities, and support treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, stabilization and recovery for residents with mental illness. Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old at time of hire.
• At least 1 year of experience in medical, psychiatric, nursing or related settings, or in customer service; college can substitute for required experience.
• Valid Driver License (if required).
• Ability to attend a 1-2 week mandatory training including CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential care and assist with enrichment activities for residents.
• Support treatment, psychiatric rehabilitation, stabilization and recovery.
• Maintain professional caregiver relationships while preserving dignity and rights.
• Observe residents for safety, distress signals, and triggers.
• Escort residents to activities and appointments; monitor meals.
• Document information factually and objectively.
