Job summary

Florida Department of Children & Families – Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency seeks a Senior Human Services Program Specialist in Fort Pierce. Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing program data, training needs assessment, and administering monitoring activities to ensure program consistency at the service area level.

The role emphasizes providing guidance, coordinating with Southeast Region staff and other offices, and supporting performance monitoring and policy implementation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of professional experience in health, social, economic or rehabilitative programs.
  • Master’s degree can substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • Experience substitutions may apply on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors data and analyzes program eligibility, service delivery and policy implementation.
  • Plans, organizes and conducts pre-service, in-service and policy update training for staff.
  • Designs supplemental training programs with curricula and materials.
  • Develops training materials for core packages and analyzes staff capabilities to select delivery methods.
  • Assists with Quality Management and Assurance Plan monitoring for the Southeast Region.
  • Supports operational, program and performance monitoring to meet standards.
  • Acts as liaison to community agencies and serves as spokesperson on policy within the community.
  • Provides guidance and consultation to Southeast Region staff.
  • Provides on-site visits and problem resolution support for program supervisors and specialists.
  • Tracks and analyzes performance data and compiles reports for the Southeast Region.
  • Coordinates activities between State Office and Southeast Region Operations.
  • Assists in developing corrective action plans and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Offers recommendations based on monitoring results and performs related duties.

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Master’s degree substitute for one year of experience
Professional or nonprofessional experience substitute for education
