Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team at Dennis & Co. Auto Group. This role is pivotal in driving HR initiatives that support our diverse workforce and enhance organizational effectiveness within the automotive industry.

The Senior HR Generalist supports HR operations across multiple locations, with a focus on employee relations, compliance, total rewards and benefits. This role requires a proactive professional with experience in fast-paced environments and a strong foundation in health & welfare benefits, labor law compliance, and HR best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, employee relations, and workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws (FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage & hour).
• Manage health & welfare programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness).
• Serve as main point-of-contact for 401(k) plan
• Address benefits inquiries and coordinate with vendors to ensure ERISA, HIPAA, and ACA compliance.
• Maintain HR documentation, support performance management, and coach leaders on feedback and documentation.
• Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate on HR policies, process improvements, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Provide training on benefits, compliance, and management practices.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with a focus on benefits and compliance.
• PHR or SHRM-CP (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA.
• HRIS experience (ADP Workforce Now) and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Multi-location experience a plus. Some travel required between locations required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field; HR certification (preferred).
• Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on benefits and employee relations.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including OSHA and FMLA compliance.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage conflicts effectively.
• Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP, UltiPro, or Workday.
