Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of HR experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Rippling HRIS and Team Tailor ATS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state workforce and applying employment law requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Jupiter Power is lookingfor a Senior Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for serving as a trusted HR partner to employees and leaders across the organization, supporting employee relations, compliance, HR operations, performance management, benefits, leave administration, payroll coordination, and policy implementation. This role requires sound judgment, strong ownership, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Houston, TX office and will be subject to our Company’s return-to-office policy which currently requires a minimum of three days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Provides day-to-day guidance to managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation, workplace concerns, and HR best practices, escalating complex or sensitive matters as appropriate.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Supports HR compliance activities, including employment documentation, personnel file maintenance, I-9 processes, policy acknowledgments, and audit readiness.
  • Assist with payroll processing.
  • Partners with leaders on organizational effectiveness initiatives, including employee engagement, talent planning, change management support, and implementation of HR programs.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5-10 years of human resource experience is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of Rippling HRIS and Team Tailor ATS.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Experience supporting a multi-state workforce and applying employment law requirements across multiple jurisdictions strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise managers, exercise discretion, and independently resolve routine to moderately complex HR matters.
  • Experience working with HRIS, ATS, payroll, benefits, and reporting systems; ability to use HR data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
