Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Starting Salary: $85,400 - $128,100

Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic partner with site leadership, managers, supervisors and employees to align human resources programs, policies and practices with business objectives. This role involves activities, such as recruitment, onboarding, employee/labor relations, benefits, training and employee engagement while supporting a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, managers, and supervisors on human resources matters, including employee relations, performance management, corrective action, workforce planning, policy interpretation, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent administration of human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company standards and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Lead and support employee and labor relations activities, including investigations, grievance support, conflict resolution, disciplinary recommendations, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and supervisors on employee performance, development plans, corrective action, attendance, policy application, and leadership effectiveness.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of employee records and transactions, including new hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, performance reviews, and other employment changes.
  • Analyze and report human resources metrics such as headcount, turnover, staffing, attendance, employee relations activity, and other key performance indicators to support business decision-making.
  • Promote employee engagement, communication, training, recognition, and development initiatives that support retention, productivity, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Support compliance-related activities, audits, reporting requirements, policy reviews, and internal controls related to human resources processes.
  • Represent the organization professionally with employees, community partners, external vendors, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience/Skills
  • Minimum of five years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing, operations, or multi-shift environment.
  • Labor relations experience, including work with collective bargaining agreements, grievances, investigations, or union-represented employees, preferred where applicable.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including general understanding of FMLA, ADA, wage and hour requirements, EEO, and related compliance practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct employee relations investigations, assess facts objectively, maintain confidentiality, and recommend appropriate resolution.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand operational priorities and align HR solutions with business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, conflict resolution, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, build credibility, and work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using HRIS, timekeeping, applicant tracking, learning management, or related HR systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain discretion, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Education
  • Bachelors Degree and minimum 5 years' experience in Human Resources. PHR / SPHR or SHRM Certification desirable
