Job summary

Vivace, located at NASA's Michoud Facility, seeks a Senior HR Business Partner to lead all HR at the site, partnering with site leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, employee relations, talent management, and workforce planning.

You will own full-cycle recruiting, build talent pipelines across manufacturing and engineering, collaborate with centralized HR on payroll, benefits, HRIS, and compliance, and guide leadership development and change initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field required.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic HR partner and member of the Vivace leadership team.
  • Coach leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee development, performance management, succession planning, and change leadership.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and policy application.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for Vivace, including sourcing, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to build effective recruiting strategies and talent pipelines.
  • Develop relationships with schools and partners to support current and future workforce needs.
  • Lead site-level talent management: performance reviews, succession planning, leadership development, and engagement.
  • Provide leadership to onsite HR staff and coordinate with centralized HR operations (payroll, benefits, HRIS, compliance).
  • Monitor HR metrics and drive improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support growth, transformation, and acquisition integration initiatives.

The Human Resources team plays a critical role in supporting this growth by building strong leaders, developing scalable people processes, and creating an engaging, high-performance culture.

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner serves as the senior Human Resources leader for Vivace, partnering closely with the VP & General Manager and site leadership team to drive organizational effectiveness and support the company's continued growth. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of Human Resources at the site, balancing strategic business partnership with hands-on execution across employee relations, talent management, leadership development, organizational planning, and Human Resources operations. Working closely with platform HR resources, the Senior HR Business Partner helps build scalable people practices that enable business growth while fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Essential Functions
  • Serve as a strategic Human Resources partner and active member of the Vivace leadership team, aligning people strategies with business objectives, operational priorities, and organizational growth.
  • Coach and advise leaders on organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee development, performance management, succession planning, and change leadership.
  • Lead employee relations matters, including workplace investigations, corrective action, conflict resolution, and performance concerns, while ensuring consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on presence throughout the organization and foster a positive employee experience grounded in accountability, engagement, and effective communication.
  • Own full-cycle recruiting for Vivace, including position intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, candidate selection, offer development, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop effective recruiting strategies and build talent pipelines for aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, skilled-trade, and other hard-to-fill positions.
  • Develop relationships with trade schools, colleges, professional organizations, recruiting partners, and other talent sources to support current and future workforce needs.
  • Lead site-level talent management activities, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, and new-hire integration.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the onsite Human Resources Representative, ensuring effective delivery of day-to-day Human Resources services.
  • Partner with centralized Human Resources Operations to help support payroll, benefits, HRIS, compliance, reporting, and policy administration.
  • Monitor recruiting and Human Resources metrics, identify workforce trends and organizational risks, and implement improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Lead Human Resources support for organizational growth, workforce expansion, business transformation, and acquisition integration activities.
  • Manage special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the CHRO or site leadership.
Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field required. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Experience
  • 7 + years of progressive Human Resources experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior business leaders in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, industrial, or similarly complex operational environment.
  • Demonstrated success balancing strategic Human Resources partnership with hands-on execution.
  • Strong employee relations, leadership coaching, organizational development, and performance management experience.
  • Experience supporting organizational growth, change management, and business transformation initiatives preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and Human Resources best practices.

Work Conditions
  • Ability to work onsite, including hours outside of a normal working day, to support production schedules, customer commitments, and critical business needs.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of a manufacturing environment, including prolonged walking, occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Occasional travel to other company locations may be required.
