Best Buy is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to align HR strategy with corporate objectives for Category Enablement and Exclusive Brands. Based in Richfield, MN, the role is hybrid with on-site Mon–Thu and remote on Friday.

You’ll partner with leaders to coach, develop, and improve engagement, applying HR expertise to close gaps, analyze data, and shape talent strategies. Five years in HR and stakeholder collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience collaborating with and influencing stakeholders and business partners
• 5 years of experience in human resources, employee relations or talent management
• Proven experience building and sustaining relationships with senior leadership
• Ability to communicate with employees at various levels

• Coach, develop, and upskill leadership capabilities

• Lead supply and demand analysis of current and future people needs
• Track turnover and engagement trends and propose solutions
• Implement new organizational structures and processes to increase effectiveness

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resources management, public administration, psychology or education

Job description

As the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you’ll support our corporate Category Enablement and Exclusive Brands teams. You will act as a strategic partner to the business by integrating corporate HR strategy into day-to-day work. You’ll provide professional HR guidance and support to relevant internal business groups with the objective of adding value to the business. In this role, you’ll drive business outcomes by shaping requests and fulfilling unmet needs while operating with moderate supervision.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work on site Monday through Thursday at the Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota. You can work virtually from home or another non Best Buy location on Friday. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate with Employee Relations and HR Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated solutions that address business needs and support consistent employee experiences
• Partner with leaders to coach, develop, and upskill their leadership capabilities, enabling stronger talent decisions, improved employee engagement, and greater organizational effectiveness
• Apply business acumen and HR technical expertise to identify and address gaps in business unit activities
• Apply data and analysis to help leaders make informed talent and business decisions
• Translate strategic and tactical business plans into meaningful talent strategies
• Lead supply and demand analysis of the current and future people and skills needs of the organization
• Track trends in employee behaviors and needs (turnover, engagement, etc.) and recommend solutions
• Provide expertise on the implementation of new organizational structures and processes to increase overall effectiveness
• 5 years of experience collaborating with and influencing stakeholders and business partners
• 5 years of experience in human resources, employee relations or talent management
• Proven experience building and sustaining relationships with senior leadership
• Ability to communicate with employees at various levels

Preferred qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in human resource management, public administration, psychology or education
• HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
• 1 year of experience partnering with senior executives and business leaders in a large, matrixed organization
• Experience with change management and organizational effectiveness
• Experience working with international/global business teams
• Self-starter with the ability to proactively identify gaps, surface opportunities, and recommend solutions that improve business and talent outcomes
