Job summary

Flourish Research seeks a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR strategy across California and Denver, CO, with a primary onsite role at Century City, Los Angeles.

You will partner with site leadership, talent acquisition, and organizational development to drive employee relations, compliance, workforce planning, and development while promoting an inclusive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years HR experience, multi-site healthcare preferred, 5+ years in HRBP.
• Subject matter expert in California employment law.
• Strong employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR business partner for site leadership and employees across multiple locations.
• Provide strategic and hands-on support with employee relations, compliance, and policy advisement.
• Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs and implement HR solutions.
• Support onboarding, performance management, leaves, and offboarding processes.
• Coach managers on policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and team development.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM and as needed (Hybrid)

Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000 base salary plus Bonus

We are actively hiring a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a key HR leader across multiple Flourish Research locations in California and Denver, CO. This position is based onsite at our Valkyrie Clinical Trials site in Century City, Los Angeles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR business partner for site leadership and employees across multiple clinical research locations
• Offer strategic and hands‑on support to site leadership and employees with a heavy focus on employee relations, compliance, policy advisement, workforce planning, and organizational support
• Partner with site and regional leadership to identify workforce needs and implement strategic HR solutions aligned with business goals
• Ensure alignment with Flourish Research's policies, values, and operational goals
• Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, compensation, leaves of absence, and offboarding
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and team development
• Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee relations issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California labor law
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, and HR leadership to support recruiting, retention, and talent development initiatives
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace culture aligned with Flourish Research values
• Utilize HR data and metrics to inform decisions and recommend process improvements
• Lead organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and HR projects across the network
• Maintain consistent communication with leadership, employees, and corporate HR teams
• Additional duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• PHR or SHRM‑CP certification preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi‑site healthcare environment, with a minimum of 5 years in an HR Business Partner role
• Must be a subject matter expert in California employment law
• Strong employee relations experience is required, including investigations and conflict resolution
• Clinical research or healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex and sensitive employment situations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/HCM systems
• Must be able to commute regularly to the Century City, CA office
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, primarily within California, with occasional travel to other locations within the U.S.
