Job summary

Flourish Research is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to lead HR strategies across multiple California locations and Denver. This role is based onsite at our Century City site, with hybrid work options and a focus on employee relations, compliance, and workforce planning.

You will guide managers, support talent development, and drive HR initiatives while partnering with HR leadership to ensure a positive, compliant workplace culture in line with Flourish Research values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably multi-site healthcare, with 5+ years as HRBP.
• Must be a subject matter expert in California employment law.
• Strong employee relations experience including investigations and conflict resolution.
• Clinical research or healthcare background is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
• Ability to build relationships and influence across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HRBP for site leadership and employees across multiple locations.
• Provide strategic and hands-on support on employee relations, compliance, policy advisement, workforce planning, and organizational support.
• Identify workforce needs with leadership and implement HR solutions aligned with business goals.
• Ensure alignment with Flourish Research policies and goals.
• Support full employee lifecycle: onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
• Coach managers on employee relations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
• Conduct investigations and resolve issues in a fair, compliant manner.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, especially CA labor law.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership on recruiting and retention initiatives.
• Promote inclusive, high-performing culture aligned with company values.
• Utilize HR data and metrics to inform decisions and drive improvements.
• Lead HR projects and change management across the network.

Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5 PM and as needed (Hybrid)

Compensation: $120,000 - $145,000 base salary plus Bonus

We are actively hiring a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a key HR leader across multiple Flourish Research locations in California and Denver, CO. This position is based onsite at our Valkyrie Clinical Trials site in Century City, Los Angeles.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the primary HR business partner for site leadership and employees across multiple clinical research locations
• Offer strategic and hands‑on support to site leadership and employees with a heavy focus on employee relations, compliance, policy advisement, workforce planning, and organizational support
• Partner with site and regional leadership to identify workforce needs and implement strategic HR solutions aligned with business goals
• Ensures alignment with Flourish Research’s policies, values, and operational goals
• Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, compensation, leaves of absence, and offboarding
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and team development
• Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee relations issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California labor law
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, and HR leadership to support recruiting, retention, and talent development initiatives
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and high‑performing workplace culture aligned with Flourish Research values
• Utilize HR data and metrics to inform decisions and recommend process improvements
• Lead organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and HR projects across the network
• Maintain consistent communication with leadership, employees, and corporate HR teams
• Additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi‑site healthcare environment, with a minimum of 5 years in an HR Business Partner role.
• Must be a subject matter expert in California employment law
• Strong employee relations experience is required, including investigations and conflict resolution
• Clinical research or healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
• Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
• Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex and sensitive employment situations
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/HCM systems
• Must be able to commute regularly to the Century City, CA office
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, primarily within California, with occasional travel to other locations within the U.S.
