Job summary

Exponent is seeking a Human Factors Manager-level Scientist (M.S. or Ph.D.) to join our Tampa, FL team.

The role focuses on analyzing human performance across automotive, occupational, and consumer contexts, with collaboration across engineering and biomechanics practices. You will lead multi-disciplinary projects, manage client relationships, and contribute to research, publications, and business development.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Experimental, Computational, Developmental or Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, or related field. Master’s degree with relevant experience will be considered.
• Located in or willing to relocate to the Tampa, FL area.
• Legal to work in the United States; no sponsorship needed.
• At least five years of experience in litigation support, forensics consulting, health and safety investigation, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Managing a range of consulting activities analyzing human perceptual, cognitive, and response capabilities in accidents and prevention.
• Conducting hands-on inspections and analyzing human performance related to vehicles and roadways.
• Working on multi-disciplinary projects with data processing and project support.
• Conducting research to obtain and review technical data, literature, and standards.
• Developing client contacts and preparing written and oral summaries.
