Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Human Factors Engineer to lead human factors development and verification for hypersonic capabilities. The role focuses on architecture, requirements, verification, and collaboration with customers, based in Roy, Utah.

Requirements include a STEM degree with 8 years’ experience (or higher degrees with fewer years), active Top Secret clearance, and expertise in MBSE, DOORS/CAMEO. Travel 10%. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 8 years of related experience.
US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval.
3+ years of system architecture experience focused on human factors requirements, compliance, standards, and ability to translate them into system requirements and verification plans.
3+ years of experience authoring, managing, and tracing requirements using IBM DOORS, CAMEO or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the system architecture using MBSE tools.
Generate, allocate, and trace human factors requirements across the system hierarchy.
Define verification methodology for compliance with human factors standards.
Author requirement sets and develop Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
Produce customer deliverables such as human factors trade studies and validation reports.
Participate in lab-based demonstrations and HIL testing for usability and crew interaction.
Mentor junior engineers on MBSE modeling and verification planning.
