A background in Software Engineering or Frontend Development is valued; you’ll take a quick test and, if successful, join Prolific as a participant to help AI understand frontend code and design implementations.

Developers can earn competitive pay for tasks, with up to $40/hr depending on skills and experience, with many tasks requiring about one hour of uninterrupted work.

Qualifications

• Educational background: a BSc or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Web Development, or a closely related technical field.
• Senior Frontend Developer or UI Engineer with HTML/CSS focus.
• Ability to independently build complex, responsive layouts and components without relying on frameworks.
• Deep CSS knowledge: cascade, specificity, box model, Flexbox, CSS Grid, WCAG, cross-browser compatibility.
• Code quality: semantic markup and maintainable CSS using BEM, design tokens, modern CSS standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Code Accuracy: review AI-generated HTML/CSS for correctness, structure, and best practices.
• Validate Logic & Reasoning: audit AI explanations for layouts and styling approaches.
• Conduct Execution Testing: render AI-markup in environments to verify visuals and cross-browser behavior.
• Annotate Model Performance: identify inaccessible markup, inefficient selectors, deprecated attributes, or hallucinated CSS properties.
• Refine Technical Logic: provide feedback on responsive design, component architecture, and design system implementation.
