Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Field Service Technician II in Healthcare Technology Management to maintain and repair biomedical equipment across hospital sites. You will install, service, and test medical devices, following safety and regulatory standards, with supervision and guidance from senior team members.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, cable interfacing, and documentation while traveling to UH Hospitals/Clinics.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Clinical or Electrical Engineering, or similar field, OR Applicable Military Training and experience.
• Experience: 3 years of Healthcare Environment experience. An equivalent combination of education and/or directly related experience may be substituted in lieu of stated requirements.
• Licenses: DRIVERS LICENSE Upon Hire Preferred; CBET CER BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERNG TECH Upon Hire.

Responsibilities

• Travels between hospital sites to respond to service requests and perform maintenance tasks.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains clinical biomedical equipment and instrumentation used for patient care.
• Analyzes failures, tests components, and replaces defective parts while using appropriate electronic test equipment.
• Maintains required records for regulatory compliance and safety standards.
