Job summary

Worley is seeking an HSE Specialist II for an on-site role in Colonial Heights, VA, supporting a large expansion project expected from Q1 2027 to Q4 2027. You will act as Owner’s Representative ensuring safe execution and adherence to policies and standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in construction safety, OSHA 30-hour certification, and a strong background in safety programs and field observations. This full-time position is based in Colonial Heights, with a year-long assignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction safety or related field.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, local regulations, and company safety policies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations.
• Work with construction coordinators in planning project construction activities.
• Interface with site and company personnel to leverage resources.
• Familiarity with safety aspects of civil/structural construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for strong safety awareness and enforce policies; participate in safety audits and contractor meetings.
• Assist Project Manager and Construction Manager with enforcing safety standards.
• Conduct field walks and safety observations of construction contractors.
• Ensure Solstice safety policies, standards, and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Support monitoring and management of safety programs.
• Participate in project safety reviews, analyses, auditing, and risk mitigation.
• Perform safety-related duties as directed; conduct safety stand-downs as needed.
