Job summary

Axis Energy seeks a qualified HSE Field Technician to support safe field operations and compliance with the HSE Safety Management System. The role will independently evaluate hazards, coach teams, and escalate significant safety concerns while partnering with operations and customers to improve safety performance.

Responsibilities include KPI management, incident support, audits, and field safety coaching for daily start-ups, JSA, permits, and equipment inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; equivalent may be considered.
• 6+ years of demonstrated HSE/DOT work experience, preferably in the oil field services industry.
• CSP, SMS, ASP or OSHA training, PEC/Safeland certifications.
• Experience in ISNetworld or other contractor safety management systems; learning management systems (LMS) and safety reporting programs such as iScout / KPA or similar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• Professional integrity, confidentiality and sense of responsibility and accountability.
• Highly organized and efficient; capable of multi-tasking.
• Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
• Willing to take initiative and work independently when needed.
• Good judgment with timely, sound decisions.
• Ability to travel and work flexible field-based schedule.
• Receipt of proof of eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate field activities to identify hazards and assess compliance risk.
• Coach and intervene to address safety risks and recommend corrective actions.
• Stop work when imminent safety hazards identified and escalate as needed.
• Verify site-specific orientations for workforces and visitors.
• Manage KPI log, collect and review KPI data daily.
• Support incident investigations and associated reporting.
• Lead investigations interpreting HSE procedures and recommending actions.
• Coordinate audits and ensure corrective actions documented.
• Communicate safety expectations with customers, vendors, and leadership.
