Job summary

Lilly is building a new Houston manufacturing site and seeks an experienced HSE professional to support construction and commissioning. The role will transition to site HSE operations to ensure safe manufacturing of medicines.

You will lead contractor safety programs, provide SME guidance on CSMP, and drive field-based safety compliance across projects, with emphasis on hazard recognition and risk control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years HSE experience, including 29 CFR 1926 construction work.
• Experience supporting contractor safety programs and permit-to-work systems.
• OSHA regulations knowledge; translate requirements into field procedures.
• Ability to navigate diverse construction environments; lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Support CSMP and manage relationships with Safety Advisors and partners.
• Serve as SME for HSE documents and standards; coach project teams.
• Lead field inspections and training on CSMP and safety processes.
• Coordinate regulatory requirements, risk controls, and RCA investigations.
