Job summary

Morgan Construction & Environmental Ltd. is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor (HSE) to support heavy civil earthworks projects. The role involves leading safety orientation, coaching teams, and driving a strong safety culture across project sites.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of HSE experience on construction or mining sites, strong OH&S knowledge, and excellent communication. Local travel to project locations and rotating shifts are common in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Health and Safety Advisor on heavy civil earthworks, construction, road building or mining project sites.
• Advanced knowledge of provincial OH&S regulations and standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, independent and able to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging field-level orientations for employees and subcontractors.
• Lead safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture.
• Act as a safety role model and coach for workers.
• Identify hazards and mitigate site risks with teams.
• Conduct worksite inspections, audits and corrective-action follow-ups.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and share lessons learned.
