Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to lead Workday HCM implementation and ongoing optimization. You will partner with HR and IT to configure, test, and administer Workday Core HCM and related modules, ensuring secure data and scalable processes.

The role emphasizes training users, delivering process improvements, and staying current with HR tech trends, while supporting upgrades, integrations, and vendor relations to maximize value of the HR technology stack.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, HR, or technology preferred.
  • 5–7 years managing enterprise HR technology; Workday HCM required.
  • 2–3 years senior Workday administration, configuration, integrations, and reporting.
  • Experience with Workday HCM Phase 1 implementation, data conversion and test management.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and data; HR technology focus.
  • Hands-on experience leading system implementations and integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation, launch, and post-go-live stabilization of Workday Core HCM.
  • Identify system/process improvements and deliver tech solutions.
  • Administer and support Workday: user access, uploads, audits, troubleshooting, documentation.
  • Configure Workday Core HCM including workflows, forms, fields, rules, security.
  • Provide training/guidance to HR systems users.
  • Ensure data privacy and governance; comply with policies.
  • Research and recommend HR tech enhancements and trends.
  • Collaborate to manage upgrades, integrations, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with IT on vendor relationships to maximize HR tech value.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Senior HRIS Analyst to join our HR team and be on the ground floor for the implementation and launch of Workday HCM. In this role, you will support implementation efforts, drive ongoing systems improvements, and troubleshoot application issues. You will collaborate with HR, IT, and other internal partners to enhance system functionality and improve the overall user experience across HR technology platforms. Expertise specifically in Workday Core HCM required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Business, Human Resources, and/or Technology discipline preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience managing enterprise HR technology platforms; Workday HCM required
  • 2-3 years of experience with senior level Workday administration, configuration, integrations and reporting, with very strong acumen in Workday Core HCM
  • Experience supporting a Workday HCM Phase 1 implementation including data conversion and test management
  • Strong working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices, and how they relate to HR technology and data.
  • Hands‑on experience leading system implementations and ensuring integration with existing systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Very effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and levels of management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate
  • Experience with HR AI technology preferred

Pay

Final pay is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. For (Colorado/New York City/California/Washington/Maryland/Virginia/DC) this ranges from $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 plus annual incentive, benefits, and retirement program as outlined above.
