Job summary

Headway, a Series D company building accessible mental healthcare tools, seeks an exceptional HR Business Partner to support our Engineering organization. This in-person role in New York City combines strategy, coaching, and data-driven people programs to enable scalable growth and leadership development.

You will partner with executives and centers of excellence to design people programs, drive performance, and strengthen organizational health while upholding Headway's values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HRBP or HR-adjacent/generalist experience in high-growth environments.
• Independently partner with business leaders to translate priorities into people plans.
• Data-driven with qualitative and quantitative signals; leverage AI tools in analysis and communication.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Business Partnership: translate business priorities into actionable people plans with leaders.
• Talent Strategy & Performance: lead performance management and talent reviews; coach managers to set expectations and deliver feedback.
• Organizational Design & Effectiveness: advise org structure, clarify roles, use headcount data to identify gaps.
• Coaching & Manager Development: build trusted relationships and provide actionable feedback to build leadership capability.
• Analytical & Data-Driven Decision Making: build and use people data to influence leadership decisions; leverage AI for insights.
