Job summary

Grain Millers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager for the St. Ansgar facility to lead HR strategy and operations.

You will partner with site leaders to drive employee engagement, retention, workforce planning, and talent initiatives while addressing employee relations matters and ensuring lawful employment practices. You will collaborate with Corporate HR on compensation, benefits, and company-wide HR initiatives, while guiding the Recruiter and Employee Experience Manager

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations and workplace investigations.
• Strong experience with performance management and leadership coaching.
• Working knowledge of leave administration, accommodation processes, and workers' compensation programs.
• Comprehensive understanding of federal and state employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or other multi-shift work environments preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Human Resources business partner to site leadership and management teams.
• Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace concerns.
• Provide coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, corrective action, and employee development.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Administer leave of absence programs, accommodations, workers' compensation, and return-to-work processes.
• Support compensation and benefits administration, including annual review processes and employee communications.
• Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support retention, engagement, and business decisions.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Recruiter, Employee Experience Manager while driving HR initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
