Job summary

Serenity Healthcare is seeking an HR Business Partner focused on Leave Administration and Employee Relations. You will serve as the subject matter expert for FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and state leave programs, guiding managers and employees through complex accommodation processes.

You will manage investigations, advise on performance actions, and help ensure compliance with federal and state laws while maintaining confidentiality and supporting business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Minimum 3 years administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, and employee relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Experience coaching leaders on performance management and disciplinary processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously while maintaining confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for leave and accommodation programs including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and state leaves.
• Manage end-to-end leave lifecycle: intake, eligibility, cert review, approvals, extensions, return-to-work, closure.
• Lead ADA interactive process and coordinate accommodations.
• Evaluate medical documentation with employees, providers, managers, and legal counsel as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with regulations through documentation and recordkeeping.
• Partner with third-party leave administrators and disability insurers.
• Monitor leave usage and identify trends or compliance concerns.
• Advise leaders on performance issues and corrective action.
• Coach managers on PIPs, documentation, and disciplinary processes.
• Conduct workplace investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Support terminations and separation processes.
• Educate on leave rights and accommodation processes.
