Job summary

ABM Industries is hiring a Senior Manager, Field HR to align business objectives with employees and front-line leaders in NYC. The role acts as an employee champion, guiding a team of HR managers and partnering across HR centers of excellence to deliver value-added services while focusing on performance metrics.

The position requires strong consultation skills, change management, and deep knowledge of HR processes, with hybrid in-office work at One Liberty Plaza, New York, NY.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• In lieu of degree, 10+ years of related experience required.
• Minimum of 7 years of applicable experience in Human Resources, business operations or management.
• Experience with large hourly & distributed workforce is a strong plus.
• Experience with union and non-union employees preferred.
• Must be able to travel 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Consults with line management and HR management, providing guidance.
• Oversees six HR Managers and ensures consistent communication.
• Analyzes turnover, retention, and engagement trends to improve metrics.
• Partners with leadership to understand current and future staffing needs.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and manages employee relations investigations.
• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to front line leaders.
• Supports customer retention and business development through HR initiatives.
