Job summary

Marsh seeks a Senior Principal for its HR M&A Advisory Services, based in New York City or Chicago, in a hybrid role requiring at least three in-office days per week with clients. You will lead the human capital agenda on complex transactions, advise C-suite and PE sponsors, and drive delivery across multiple Marsh business lines, leveraging AI to accelerate diligence and integration work.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in professional services leading transactions
• Management consulting capability; structuring ambiguous problems under pressure
• Executive presence with CHRO/CFO/PE audiences
• Fluency with AI in delivery; handling client data
• Knowledge of M&A lifecycle and core HR disciplines
• Commercial ownership including origination and revenue responsibility
• Proven ability to lead teams in a matrixed environment; willing to travel

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate sales and delivery across HR M&A advisory to deliver a unified client experience
• Originate and expand work with corporate development teams and PE sponsors
• Own the human capital agenda across complex transactions end to end
• Translate people questions into defensible value case and integration roadmap
• Advise senior leaders on transaction pace, risks, and interdependencies
• Use AI to accelerate data room review and diligence
• Develop teams in AI-enabled delivery while protecting client confidentiality
• Shape practice viewpoints on deal structures and regulatory environment
• Lead and develop consultants and engagement managers
