Job summary

Georgia State University, Decatur Campus, is seeking a Senior Human Resources Officer to lead HR operations for Perimeter College. The role reports to the Assistant Dean for Finance and Administration with a dotted line to the Perimeter College Dean.

You will drive recruitment, compliance, staff development and reporting, collaborating with central HR and legal affairs. The position is based at the Decatur campus with occasional travel to other campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, organizational psychology, HR management or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• SPHR-SC, SHRM-CP or similar certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR process improvements and manage change initiatives.
• Supervise HR staff and oversee the HR unit budget.
• Assist faculty/hiring processes and coordinate recruitment and onboarding.
• Oversee staff development, performance management and compliance.
• Provide HR reporting, records management and analytics.
• Advise college leadership on HR matters and liaise with University HR and legal affairs.
