Job summary

Symmons Industries is seeking a Senior HR Generalist to support the North of Boston region and the coast. You will drive staffing, training and development, employee relations, and compliance while partnering with leadership to implement HR programs.

The role combines strategic and administrative duties, ensuring policy adherence, data integrity, and a strong focus on employee experience within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of HR Generalist experience.
• SHRM-CP or PHR certification a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried employees.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with hiring managers to plan strategic interviews.
• Lead the selection process and provide candidate evaluations.
• Manage leaves of absence and coordinate with vendors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and postings.
• Develop and administer company-wide HR programs to boost morale.
• Support daily business functions with Operations leaders.
• Automate HR processes and improve data management in HRIS.
• Gather and analyze HR metrics for executive decisions.
• Oversee bi-annual employee engagement surveys and act on insights.
• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers.
• Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes.
