Job summary

Rainforest Action Network (RAN) in San Francisco seeks a Senior Manager of Human Resources and Employee Experience to lead HR operations, employee relations and organizational development with a focus on equity and justice. The role reports to the Deputy Executive Director and drives inclusive culture, staff development and effective policy compliance across domestic and international staff.

Qualifications

• Progressively senior HR leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience promoting positive employee relations with an equity lens.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with mediation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience leading high-performing teams and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR operations, ensure legal compliance for domestic and international staff.
• Direct employee relations, investigations and policy guidance across the organization.
• Supervise the HR Generalist and oversee the HR budget and staffing plans.
• Coordinate employee experience initiatives, onboarding, performance management and feedback processes.
• Support equitable hiring, compensation discussions and job descriptions.
• Foster a culture of equity, inclusion and justice aligned with RAN values.
