Job summary

Keeley Companies seeks a Human Resources Business Partner to join the People Operations team in St. Louis. The HRBP will advise leaders on employment practices, compliance, benefits, and employee relations, ensuring consistent, compliant people processes across Keeley Companies.

The role focuses on risk mitigation, onboarding/offboarding, leave programs, and benefits compliance, with collaboration across Keeley Brands to support growth and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in HR, business or related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience with emphasis on employment compliance, employee relations or benefits.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws.
• Experience with FMLA, ADA accommodations, leave programs and I-9/E-Verify.
• Experience supporting benefit programs and health plan compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as People Operations partner to leaders on employment practices, compliance, employee relations and benefits.
• Lead employment compliance across regulations, updating practices as markets expand.
• Identify and mitigate employment risk through audits, policy updates and manager education.
• Oversee programs like I-9/E-Verify, background screening, drug testing, FMLA, ADA accommodations and leave programs.
• Oversee compliant offboarding processes and final employment documentation.
• Partner on onboarding compliance items and regulatory requirements.
• Handle employee relations matters and investigations with policy adherence.
• Support Benefits Manager on enrollment, communication and benefits compliance.
• Analyze trends and gaps to improve compliance, efficiency and the employee experience.
• Lead cross-functional People Operations initiatives to support growth and improve processes.
