Job summary

Conexus in Waco, Texas is seeking a Senior Human Resources Manager to serve as a key member of the plant leadership team, driving the site’s people strategy and acting as a trusted business partner to the Plant Manager and operations leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring 8-12+ years of HR leadership in manufacturing, with strong financial acumen, strategic thinking, and a proactive, data-driven approach to improve productivity, labor costs, and workforce effectiveness on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
• 8-12+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HR leadership experience within a manufacturing, industrial environment.
• Proven success serving as a strategic HR business partner to Plant Managers, General Managers, and senior operations leaders.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including understanding of P&L drivers, labor budgets, expenses, productivity, and cost management.
• Experience leading HR initiatives in manufacturing settings with large hourly workforces.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic advisor and trusted partner to the Plant Manager and site leadership, aligning people strategies with business objectives.
• Participate in plant leadership meetings, business reviews, and planning.
• Translate objectives into actionable HR strategies to improve workforce capability and site performance.
• Partner with functional leaders to identify challenges and develop workforce solutions for operational excellence.
• Lead organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to present workforce trends and risks to plant leadership.
• Coach managers on leadership, accountability, communication, and employee engagement.
