About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join their team. This role provides strategic HR support to a designated set of business units, acting as a consultant to both front-line and senior business leaders. The Senior HR Business Partner will own the HR strategy for these groups, addressing the most pressing talent opportunities and challenges at a strategic level and partnering with business unit leaders to create value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build high-trust relationships with business leaders to offer thought leadership on organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
- Understand the business strategy and identify opportunities to increase alignment by helping leaders prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
- Lead talent management and development plans for the business unit, focusing on enhancing the quality of leaders and managers, building workforce skills and capabilities, and ensuring succession bench strength.
- Diagnose gaps between current and desired organizational performance and deploy actions to resolve gaps, including organization redesign, process change, coaching, and training.
- Assist business unit leaders in creating development programs for high-potential employees.
- Analyze workforce trends to model and forecast future labor requirements, supporting senior leaders in workforce planning and succession management.
- Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders.
- Benchmark the internal and external environment to identify new opportunities for HR and improve HR policies and initiatives.
- Drive the sharing of best practices across functions to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Act as a liaison between the business and HR functions to ensure HR services are aligned with internal client needs.
- Align performance management and reward strategies to reinforce an environment of dedication and innovation across business units.
- Coach senior leaders to improve leadership abilities, team relationships, and interpersonal communications, and deliver effective performance feedback.
- Continuously develop HR strategic, partnership, and consultative skills and mentor others on the HR Business Partner team.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of HR experience in a strategic position partnering with key executives.
- Bachelor's degree in HR management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven track record of influencing senior leaders.
- Ability to identify new ways for HR to support the business strategy and develop clear, actionable steps in support of the overall business strategy.
- Ability to analyze large quantities of data, recognize trends, tie back to business priorities, and develop recommendations based on data analysis.
- Strong partnership skills and the ability to influence aligned business unit or functional leaders.
- Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing, and problem-solving with various levels of leadership.
- High degree of business acumen.
- Effective team player and networker.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
