Novo Nordisk seeks an experienced HR professional to support senior leadership through people strategy, performance, and development programs. You’ll drive HR processes, coach managers, and lead organizational development initiatives to enable business success in a manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes implementing HR programs, championing the NNWay, and partnering across the organization to improve employee engagement and workforce planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organization.
  • General knowledge of employment law, policies & procedures; HR IT systems knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coaches the senior Leadership Team and managers to ensure HR processes are handled with quality and timeliness.
  • Leads local, corporate and global HR projects, including talent management, performance appraisals and development plans.
  • Partners with leaders to manage organizational changes and workforce planning needs.
  • Executes training needs assessment, orientation, and supports diversity initiatives.

The Position

Ensure business success, serving one or more senior leadership team domains by linking people strategy & performance, driving HR programs, & coaching managers/employees at all levels. Lead local & corporate organizational & leadership development programs. Champion the Novo Nordisk Way.

Relationships

Reports to Manager/Director.

Essential Functions
  • Coach the senior Leadership Team (SLT) and people managers to ensure consistent handling, quality & execution timeliness for HR processes, including handling the following: current issues & solutions, change management & communications support, talent management, performance appraisals, individual development plan execution, employee opinion survey results & team development plans, performance interventions, candidate selection recommendations, exit interviews & turnover analysis, new & revised job description process and , and new management orientationPartner with leader to manage organizational changes & to assist with future workforce planning needsManage global employee engagement survey, planning & execution, assist leaders with the TDP processLead problem solving and process confirmation, implement identified solutions and ensure they are deployed in a sustainable mannerModel and teach the values of the NNWay, to include inspiring & motivating site leaders and employees as requiredSet direction & strategy, foster innovation & continuous improvement efforts, manage & provide resolution for complex business matters, drive performance including coaching & developing employees, and collaborate across boundariesProvide training & promote diversity, drive the training needs assessment process, participate in & support new employee orientation segments and plan/co-facilitate meetings as requiredExecute and drive local, corporate & global HR projects/programs effectively & efficientlyPerform other human resources specialist duties, including serving in process championship roles, as assigned to support fellow partners & the businessFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned
Physical Requirements

Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.).

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited university requiredMay consider an Associate’s degree in human resources or related field from an accredited university with nine (9) years of relevant HR generalist experience requiredMay consider a High School Degree or equivalent with eleven (11) years of relevant HR generalist experience requiredPHR or SPHR certification preferredMinimum seven (7) years of relevant HR generalist experience required, preferably in a multi-shift manufacturing organizationPrevious management experience preferredGeneral knowledge of relevant employment law, personnel policies & procedures best practices requiredBusiness understanding requiredHR IT Systems knowledge & experience preferredEffective communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) required, with experience in impact & influence communication preferredAnalytical skills requiredLean Manufacturing applications in the workplace preferredChange management experience preferredOrganizational development programs execution, including performance appraisal, individual development planning, staffing/workforce planning, problem resolution, future planning & organizational development, employee opinion survey response, etc. preferredProven expertise in organizing information & people from across the organization to develop & implement policies & programs to promote positive employee relations & to support core processes to meet or exceed company business goals required
