Job summary

SelectOne is seeking a Senior Human Resources Advisor in Buffalo, NY to provide advanced HR support, compliance oversight, and client-focused advisory services. You will manage policy interpretation, audits, and training material development to enhance HR programs for clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of HR experience.
• 2+ years of relevant HR compliance experience.
• Knowledge of HR concepts and employment/labor laws (FLSA, Title VII, FMLA).
• Ability to travel locally 2-4 times a week.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; MS Office suite.
• Experience with HR Information Systems.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written skills; problem solving and analytical abilities.
• Judgement and discretion with sensitive material.
• Thorough, organized and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Assists Manager, HR Services on formulation and administration of HR plans and policies.
• Acts as designee for Manager, HR Services when requested.
• Analyzes HR issues and provides client consultation and solutions.
• Ensures client policies comply with federal, state and local laws.
• Prepares staff communications, templates and tools; supports workflow improvements.
• Advises on policy interpretations and routine questions.
• Helps develop training materials and deliver programs related to HR topics.
• Provides guidance on performance, salary administration, succession planning.
• Collaborates with sales to support client growth.
• Participates in professional development and networking events.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
