Job summary

MSU - Michigan State University is seeking an Academic HR professional to independently review inquiries, advise on faculty and staff employment matters, and support policy interpretation and implementation. You will coordinate across units, FASA, HR, and campus partners to develop resources, SOPs, and training materials.

The role leads project management for FASA initiatives, manages multiple priorities, and ensures timely, compliant responses and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, public administration, or related field; 3–5 years of HR experience.
• Ability to research and resolve complex or non-routine HR matters, advise managers, and interpret policies.
• Excellent written/verbal communication; capable of preparing guidance, reports and procedural documentation.
• Experience with HR information systems and cross-unit collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review inquiries and provide consultation on faculty, academic staff, and Executive Management employment matters.
• Develop training materials and guidance related to policies, practices and processes for HR partners.
• Lead and coordinate FASA initiatives and projects, including planning, timelines and deliverables.
• Coordinate SOPs, communications and office materials; ensure accurate, timely information.
