Job description

Job Title: Senior HR Advisor

Location: West Deptford, NJ

Hours/Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Type: Contract


Responsibilities
  1. Resolve queries escalated from the hub advisory team which could include:
    • Employee relations support: Grievances and disciplinary; Speak ups
    • Performance improvement and capabilities
    • Complex compensation and pay issues
    • Reasonable accommodations o Complex absence issues
    • Drug and alcohol testing
    • Termination / redundancy
  2. Partner with the company’s hub to provide ongoing transfer of knowledge on Country specific policies and legislation.
  3. Partner with business leaders and HR COE’s to support the implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures in support of company’s HR goals.
  4. Work with HRBPs and managers on specific projects (e.g. organization design / restructuring, workforce planning, talent activities). HR Advisor engagement on these initiatives must be aligned with the company’s Team Manager.
  5. Build and maintain effective relationships across the organization, working closely with business leaders and people managers to ensure they are maximizing the support from the hub.
  6. As part of the company’s Advisory community, look to continually implement best practice and process improvements to improve HR Advisory service delivery and efficiency.
  7. Provide feedback to the hub team from local managers and employees to ensure continuous service delivery improvements. Ensure feedback from business leads, employees and managers is cascaded and actions taken.
  8. Responsible for New Employee Onboarding sessions and process I-9 as per local regulations and requirements.
  9. Have knowledge of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to be able to support our Union population where applicable.
  10. Undertake ad hoc project work and provide project support to the broader company’s HR Services Team as well as the site & Global HR Business Partners.
  11. Partner with the US HR Country Lead and Site HRBP’s to develop HR related materials and procedures as required to ensure compliance with company and country best practices, regulations.
Requirements
  1. Experience: Minimum 5 years in HR, with a focus on employment laws and employee relations.
  2. Skills: Proficient in Workday and Excel.
  3. Education: Preference for a 4-year degree.
