Job summary

Veriipro is seeking an experienced HPC Systems Engineer to design, deploy, administer, and maintain High Performance Computing environments across on‑premises and cloud infrastructures. You will manage Linux-based HPC clusters, deploy scientific applications, configure job schedulers, and automate administration tasks to optimize performance, availability, and security.

Qualifications

• Experience building, deploying, and maintaining scientific apps and software environments across on-premises and cloud HPC platforms.
• Strong Linux administration, system troubleshooting, and security hardening expertise.
• Familiarity with Open OnDemand and AWS for HPC workloads.
• Experience with containerization and registries (Singularity/Apptainer).
• Knowledge of HPC job scheduling and workload management (Slurm, PBS).
• Experience with LDAP/AD for authentication and access management.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting for automation and ops tasks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex infra/app issues.
• Ability to create and maintain technical docs, diagrams, configs, and SOPs.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with researchers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, configure, and deploy HPC clusters and supporting software stacks.
• Administer and maintain Linux-based HPC environments for reliability and scalability.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain scientific applications and module environments.
• Configure and troubleshoot Slurm and PBS schedulers for efficient resource use.
• Support HPC workloads in cloud and containerized deployment solutions.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize compute, storage, and workload performance.
• Troubleshoot system, application, scheduling, authentication, and environment issues; provide user support.
• Develop Bash scripts and automation workflows for routine ops.
• Support automated configuration management (e.g., Ansible) and standardization.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, configs, SOPs; coordinate upgrades and security.
