Job summary

GliaCell Technologies is looking for a Senior HPC Systems Engineer for a full‑time position supporting U.S. Government projects. You will develop requirements management processes and deliver system engineering documentation, ensuring consistency with strategic plans and conducting architectural analysis.

Successful candidates must have the appropriate security clearance, U.S. citizenship, and significant experience or educational background in system engineering.

Qualifications

• 14 years general system engineering experience or related degree with relevant experience.
• Possess an active or reinstate‑able TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Skills

GliaCell Technologies is seeking a Senior HPC Systems Engineer for a full‑time position on a U.S. Government subcontract, providing technical expertise to sustain critical mission‑related software and systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop a program‑level requirements management process and establish a tailored requirements baseline.
• Contribute to and deliver system engineering documentation at both program and system levels.
• Develop a risk management process, including a risk management plan and risk register.
• Propose and evolve HPC architectural concepts and features:
• Ensure consistency with strategic plans and commercial vendor roadmaps.
• Analyze and document alternatives among competing architectures.
• Justify architectural elements based on mission applications and proxies.
• Deliver documentation of architecture, including unique architectural features and diagrams illustrating structure and functions.

Key Requirements

• Possess an active or reinstate‑able TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Education and experience:
• High school diploma or GED plus fourteen (14) years general system engineering experience; OR
• Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline plus six (6) years system engineering experience; OR
• Master’s degree in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus four (4) years system engineering experience; OR
• PhD in a qualified engineering field or related discipline plus four (4) years system engineering experience.

Key Skills

• Proficiency with the Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
• Capability to use CAMEO.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CompTIA Network+.

Location

Annapolis Junction, MD area.

Salary Range

$170,000 to $260,000, depending on position level, skills, experience, education, and certifications.
