Job summary

UT-Battelle is seeking an experienced HPC Linux Systems Engineer to support the NCCS computing environments at ORNL, including the Frontier system and other HPC clusters. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field.
• 8+ years of Linux systems experience.
• Experience in classified environments, with familiarity of security policies (NIST, DISA STIGs).
• Experience designing and deploying HPC systems for classified environments.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Install, integrate, and administer HPC Linux clusters and high-speed networks.
• Diagnose system operational problems quickly and effectively.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve hardware and software issues.
• Plan and coordinate hardware/software changes with customer participation using change management processes.
