Job summary

Raymond James is seeking a Senior HP NonStop Engineer to analyze requirements and deliver robust back-office applications. The role covers development, maintenance, and support for critical corporate actions, trade clearance, and securities transfer systems.

You will work with batch processing, MQ messaging, and AI-assisted tooling in a globally distributed IT environment, with hybrid in-office expectations for certain locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant development/engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with HP NonStop COBOL85, HPNS SQL/MX and SQL/MP.
• Experience with Pathway servers and configuration.
• Experience with HP NonStop/Tandem Guardian OS development.
• Full SDLC experience.
• Batch job processing experience with large data volumes.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies; brokerage/clearing knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop existing applications and contribute to new ones based on requirements.
• Leverage AI platforms for documentation, testing, and support.
• Monitor batch jobs and diagnose performance issues.
• Identify and fix defects; maintain functioning applications.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and lead assigned projects when needed.
• Introduce new technologies and methodologies to meet business needs.
